Inspired, chic home. We stayed for a work retreat & chance to explore Ojai. House is so charming & artfully decorated. We all commented that, unlike so many vacation rentals, the house had soul. A gas fireplace and so many little spots to enjoy outside, or do yoga inside. We loved pulling books from the massive collection in the living room. Just a delight!
What a wonderful property with fruit trees and a tennis court. Our family enjoyed the stay here. The home is spacious with two sitting rooms and three bedrooms. The host was available throughout the stay. The location is a few minutes drive away from restaurants and shops. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation.
Caitlin's home and grounds are absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed her beautiful and eclectically curated home, 1970s wood hot tub, charcoal pit outside. Although we had no time to try the clay tennis court, ping pong table or medicine ball available, perhaps we will next time. Thank you Caitlin for making my son's birthday getaway such a fabulous memory.
We are Ojai natives who came back with our kids to visit grandparents and spend time where we grew up. This house was the perfect home base - beautiful, spacious, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable. Our kids had a blast playing pickleball and ping pong. Even better, they picked Ojai pixies from the orchard and made fresh squeezed orange juice for us every morning! Caitlin and Willow were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!
My family and I recently stayed at this lovely home for a small vacation. My children are 4 and 2 and we had the most delightful time playing on the tennis court, exploring the property, playing games and making meals in the house. The house exudes playfulness and our family loved all the quality time we were able to spend. We also explored Ojai during the day and enjoyed some local parks and restaurants. I see us staying at this fabulous home again! Caitlin was very responsive and helpful. Paul who let us in to the home and gave us a small overview was also a delight. Five stars for this fab rental!
Our stay at The Pixie Palace was both fabulous and magical. Catie is a wonderful host—welcoming, thoughtful, and communicative. Her home is not only beautiful and artfully designed but also immensely comfortable. We played endless rounds of Boggle at the game table, lounged in the sunny family room, and picked juicy pixies straight from the trees. The location is ideal—just ten minutes from downtown Ojai, yet nestled on a quiet street with a charming farm stand right nearby. It truly offers the best of both worlds. We couldn’t have imagined a better stay. The Pixie Palace lives up to its name!

From the hammocks under the pepper trees to the indoor hanging swing in the living room, staying in this house was a constant invitation to unwind, relax and do nothing more than take in the natural beauty surrounding the house. It’s a serious respite from city life in Los Angeles. It was easy to slip into vacation mode, whether picking pixies off the fruit-full trees (and juicing them in the kitchen — a delight), swinging our rackets on the clay tennis court, or simply smelling the lilac blooms on the back patio. The house is big enough to spread out and get some alone time (yes, even with small children who were fully occupied by the hanging swing in the living room) but also large enough to come together as a group in communal spaces, like for cooking, eating meals and activities like puzzle-building. We particularly enjoyed the trailhead (around the corner on Thacher Road), that it was an easy jaunt into town, and the full spread of stars that showed up at night over the Ojai valley. Oh, and spotting the neighbor walking his goats almost daily. We’ll be back!
